NSU Prinz 1000 TT

1966 / 2021 FULL RESTORATION

A car that personifies the Retro Sporting ethos. The rarest of finds, brimming with detail and story. This lesser known ‘other’ German air-cooled rear engine car is formative to the history of Audi and the first to wear of the iconic TT badge. As the lightest car we have worked on at just 669kg / 1476lb, it’s go-kart handling and compact scale delivers a riotous driving experience. Fully restored in 2021, with a 1.0 litre inline 4-cylinder air-cooled engine, twin 40mm Webers, full stainless steel exhaust, and Gaz adjustable suspension. A real oddity, it was race engineered in 1966 to squeeze out every ounce of performance, gasping for air through its propped open rear hood. A treasured part of our private collection in California.
